Instructions for IMAGE BAGS Heat Press Application:
Initially prepare the artwork and size the transfer to the size of the bag flap area.
Be sure to “mirror” the image for correct reading.
Remove any lint or residue which may be on the flap.
When pressing products without detachable panels (i.e. wallet, backpack, document bag, business folder, ladies deluxe handbag, pencil case, cosmetic bag reporter bag, and sports bag), take care to keep the body of the product and any plastic straps away from the heat platen. Also make sure that button snaps or Velcro on flaps are outside the heat press platen.
Extra care is required when pressing these products. Insure that the leather parts of the flap are covered with heat tape, silicone paper or a Teflon sheet. The parts that are not being printed on should not be in direct contact with the platen of the heat press.
Prepress the flap for 20 seconds at 390ºF (198°C) to flatten edges of the flap.
Lay a piece of white paper on the bottom of the press.
Using heat resistant tape, fasten the transfer on top of the flap, image side down.
Place the flap on the heat press with transfer on top.
Cover with a sheet of plain white paper.
Press at 390ºF (198°C) for 40 seconds with medium to high pressure
Remove transfer while hot.
