All images should be MIRRORED . Trim the image to make it easier to position on your item and to reduce background. Secure your image to the object with heat tape to keep it from slipping or shifting. Depending on mug press, one or two heat conductive pads may be required. Place the item in your pre-heated heat press and follow the applicable instructions below. When pressing is done, gently remove the object and remove the paper (be careful not to let the paper shift across the surface of the object, or you may create a “ghost” image). When the object is removed from the press, just let it cool
Because water bottles are slimmer than most mugs, they will not fit in some mug presses. If this is the case, heat conductive pad(s) may be required in order to press properly. Pressing time may vary.

4in1 Press (that uses Idle and press setting) With optional heat element Press 350F; Idle 325F; Time 120-180 seconds
Insure that the water bottle fits within the heat band of the mug press and does not have any gaps. |Wrap the bottle with plain white paper. Place the bottle in the press for 120-180 seconds. Remove the bottle from the press and remove the transfer immediately. Place the bottle at room temperature to cool to stop the sublimation process.
Knight DK3 Mug Press with Heat Shields (no idle time) Press 400F; Time 180-210 seconds (increase time for more saturation) If the image begins to look blurry, or burnt brown by over-pressing, decrease pressing time by 15-30 seconds.
A Heat conductive Pad (Item DK3-PAD) will be required to wrap around bottle in order for the bottle to fit in the press. Wrap heat shield around water bottle and press. Remove the bottle from the press and remove the transfer immediately. Place the bottle at room temperature to cool to stop the sublimation process.
Note: These instructions are guide lines only and are based on the inks, paper, and products we supply. Your inks, papers, etc. may require adjustments in your time/temp settings.

* Note: Be careful not to press so hard that the mug becomes deformed when the press is closed.
Notes For Stainless Steel Travel Mugs
• Not dishwasher safe – hand wash only. Allow water to fully drain from the hole in the bottom of the mug prior to storing or using the product. Shipped with the lids attached. Should a lid not fit after imprinting then the mug press pressure was too high.
• If lids become separated from the original mug to which they were attached, you may find them not to fit. Should this occur, try other lids until you find the proper mate. Heavy pressure will cause damage to the mug’s handle anchor points allowing water to seep into the air-insulating cavity via cracks in these areas. This problem also can occur if the product has been washed in a dishwasher. A hole has been drilled into the bottom of the mug to allow the water to drain. However, even under the best of circumstances, water may still find its way through the handle anchor points or the hole in the bottom of the mug.
• Perform heat press imaging only. Placing a mug into an oven will cause the plastic pieces to melt.
• Allow the mug to cool in open air — do not “dunk” them in water. You can accelerate the cooling process through the use of a fan blowing across the surface of the mug or by laying them down on a Cool Plate.
